The Church

Cregagh Presbyterian Church is situated on the Cregagh Road midway between a busy shopping area and a residential neighbourhood. Standing at the church doors one can see in the distance the grey slopes of Divis and the Black Mountain, to the right is the city centre and to the left the lush green of the Castlereagh Hills. The name ‘Cregagh’ means ‘a place of rock’ and we like to believe that our church is a rock to the community – a source of spiritual strength to all. [slideshow_deploy id=’2823′]
The church has been at the heart of the community for over one hundred and ten years; and aims to be an inclusive, welcoming community of Christ’s people of all ages which is:
  • increasingly characterised by love for God and concern for others
  • committed to the Christian Gospel
  • relevant to the people of today in East Belfast
Sundays are a very special time when we get together as a family of God’s people to offer our worship to Him and listen for what He is saying to us. We aim to ‘Love God and Love our Neighbour’ by being willing to hear God speak and serve Him obediently in our homes, in our work, in our leisure and in our community. We have something for everyone musically with both a traditional choir and contemporary praise group to lead us in worship. To view a map of the interior of the church click here.
